Read all the reviews but it says on their website that in all male/female or mixed parties (which seems to cover all parties!) that if you want to fish all members of the party must buy a permit. It seems a nonsense as only John wants to or will fish anyone able to throw any light on it.

If you are an all man/woman party or mixed fishing-group all members of your party must be anglers and each must purchase a Perran Springs fishing permit

Thats how I read it but we wont go if thats the case. Emailed but just a brochure when they are printed reply. Be inerested to know what they say.

Hi,

We have been to perran springs a few years running, the fishing is very good and the site is lovely.

The rules are there to allow "real" fishing groups on the site, IE all male fishing club parties or group fishing parties are welcome (as they are all interested in fishing).

They do not take 'all female' or all 'male groups' unlesss they are proper fishermen - In which case they would all wish to fish. - (most sites do not accept single sex parties, and neither do perransprings, unless they are there to fish eg fishing clubs)

Kateboo - If you are a family, your son will only need the permit (if only he is fishing)

jan P - If you are a group of partners eg 3 lots of couples, again only the fisherman in that party will require the permit.

Your best to phone them, as they will probably explain it better over the phone than me trying to put it in writing

Basically it is a very nice site and the fish are BIG!!

Hope that helps

ps. they dont take dogs

Probably just as well, coz mine wouldn't be able to manage holding the rod! Have a heck of a kerfuffle trying to get their bait on too...those paws are just not ideal! And quite frankly if my pooches need me to be baiting their hooks, I wouldn't be up for that...far too busy catching me own whoppers!!!!

Thanks for that it will just be John and I the kids are not coming so the dog will stay home. Its the no dog rule which has stopped us going in the past.
