In the Summer we did a camping tour of Ireland staying in campsites in Killarney, Galway, Giant's Causeway (Bushmills) and Newcastle. Highly recommend this trip! Irish campsites are great (including musical bathrooms in Bushmills!). If you haven't seen Ireland, I'd recommend this trip!

And thanks for advertising the fact, we had a NI meet here last year and all who attended seemed to love it, be assured everyone if you do feel like coming over you will enjoy it, and yes they do have musical bathrooms lol.
Ahh but I know an even smaller Irish site with musical bathrooms. One of my favourites and we were there just before meeting you all at Carnfunnock and will be back there next year all being well.

WAS the cost of the ferry high.
Me, OH and two kids wanted to do it a few years ago, but was just as much to take the trailer as the car - that wiped out the holiday spending money, so we never bothered. WOuld love to do the bottom bit one day, just a couple of days in one place, then up stakes and on to the next site.

Unforttunatly the ferry to Ireland is quite alot,ours was just over £300 in July some went on a St Patricks day deal for a good price not quite sure how much.
I went over in the summer to Big Chris's meet (which was fab, had a great time) got a St. Patrick's Day special with Irish Ferries (Online) which was £166 return for my Campervan, myself & my son. Bordercaz also got the same deal for her tow car & folding camper, 1 adult, 2 kids & dogs, think she paid about the same. You just have to keep an eye on the Ferry Companies websites for special offers.
This was from Holyhead to Dublin. There were other offers too for other crossings.

We are looking at trying to get accross there next year but are tied with my Father being in Hospital.
Would have loved to have gone to the 2005 Ireland Meet last year but the O/H thought it was too far and wondered how we would "manage to breath underwater while driving under the Irish Sea " LOL
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
