seem to remember a small site around the wide open area thats just north of gosforth will have a look in the c&cc and cc books

one in the cc book not far from the angel of the north not far from the A1 beldy poultry farm hogg lane lamesley open all the year the no is 0191 4877556 also one in seaton burn dont know if thats a farm though
