Hi - Was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to reccommend a few dog friendly sites in the Cotswolds & Pembrokeshire. Not looking for large, family orientated sites with clubhouses etc. Quieter the better really. Do need hook up and showers though.

Cheers.... and happy camping for 2006

Hi

We have a season pitch in the Cotswolds and this will be our 4th. year there so that says something!  It keeps our children amused and there is no clubhouse, just excellent facilities, scenery and the family that run it will go out of their way to help you!

Hope this helps

Phil

Cirencester Park Caravan Club site is very good.  Lovely walks through the huge adjacent parkland.  It is open for most of the year (but closed at the moment).

Moreton in Marsh CC site is another good one too.  That's open all year too, although they are operating on reduced capacity at the moment whilst they do some improvements to one of the shower blocks.

No Clubs or Entertainment.  Just quiet and peaceful caravanning.  Owls hooting at night - that kind of stuff.

Hi,

We stayed at the C&CC site at Chipping Norton last summer, must say it was one of the best camping trips we've had. It's a bit outside of the town...bit far to walk to unless you're really into that. There's a dog walk on site but it's pretty small but just across the road is a lovely walk down a bridleway, next to some woods and open fields. The site was nice, really quiet and on two levels, we were on the top level nr the childrens play area. People there are really friendly and the facilities were great and spotless!!!  There was loads to do in the area, Chipping Norton is lovely, some nice pubs and places to eat and sweet independent shops.. Moreton in Marsh isn't far and that's lovely too, infact all the surrounding villages were gorgeous!

there's a caravan club site in Moreton in Marsh, which looked nice and was within easy walking distance of the village.

There's loads to do in the area, we went to Stratfod upon Avon, Blenheim palace...you dont hae to go in the house you can get a ticket for the grounds, which were lovely and there were dogs about...I think[:errr:], there's also a great falconry centre and Oxfords not far.

Ok I'll stop rambling on...we had a great time, love the area, going to go back a couple of times this summer.

tilly
