Hi all

Can any of you good people recommend a quiet campsite in the Peak Disticts, Yorkshire Dales, Dorset, Devon or Cornwall that can accommadate large tents (Vario 6), have fantastic scenery, allow dogs (she is reasonably quiet) and pitch randomly rather than in organised lots?

Best Regards

Hi Pencilart,

Try Rosedale Park near Pickering.  We took our Diablo 900 there a couple of times last year with now problems for us (withy 2 kids and a dog).  They are upgrading the toilets and showers but even so the existing ones aren't the worst I have seen.  You can pretty much pitch where you like and there is a stream running through the site that the kids love.  Don't know if you have kids or need electric hookup but there is also a reasonable play area, good dog walks and electric hookup facilities.

There are some great walks in the surrounding area.

And you wont find a nicer couple than Clair & Mike who run the site.
