Solway holiday village at Silloth  charged per tent when I was there last a few years ago.It is in the reveiws on here somewhere.

Hoddom Castle in SW Scotland which isn't too far away, 20mins North of Carlisle straight up the M6, they charge per pitch and it's a lovely site.

I think Hoddom Castle might have changed, I was charged for the pitch with 2 people inc then children & extra adults on top of that.

Really nice site though & quite cheap if theres only 2 of you.

Sorry Hoddom castle do charge for pitch with 2 adults but under 7's are free and my daughters only 5 so we don't have to pay for her.

Ive noticed that more and more people are charging per person even charging for kids. We went to a site last yr that was gorg and knew that my sis and bro in law were coming away with us this easter and they have 2 kids and 1 dog (we have 0 kids but 2 dogs) and worked it out for us to go on this site compared to a large commercial site like haven and it worked out cheaper to stay at haven even though they had a lot more facilities! have decided to take them to a meet at easter instead - they dont know what theyve let themselves in for lol, so they still get the entertainment  at a third of the cost what a brill idea!!!!!!!
