Hello, Seems like I left booking the 2nd Bank Holiday May camp trip too late. Licoln Park was great for us. ~ 1 hrs drive from NW London, and well suited for my 2 and 5 yrs old. Clean too.
Does anyone have any other recommendations. As you can see, I'm getting desperate for having left it so late with booking Lincoln.
Thanks
Ek.

Phil,if you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read
That looks like a great site. Especially with the farm animals and the pitches and woodland.
If they're avail, I'll book them. Especialy as we have a new family (2 parents & 1 yr) old joing us...looks like we can mello out there. How far the pitches from the playground ?. Are the pitches cramped or spacious. Are the Facilties clean ?
Have you been there ? Might be good, but have a feeling piches may be restrictive and can get noisy. ( ps we were at Oakdene, and hated it, compared to Hollands Wood, as it was too commercial).

We started going to Cotswold View with a large Coleman tent, but we changed to a caravan as we wanted to go away all year. If you ask for a pitch backing onto the playground will be probably 3 metres from the area. Pitches are spacious, we only had one problem with the tent as the neighbour was not positioned properly but our tent did take a 6 x 6 metre space! If you want more info. let me know and I will let you have some piccies from the site. I can only say that we are going back for a 4th. year with children aged 13, 11 and 8 , I think that it says it all!
If you are looking for a site with lively entertainment, a club, a swimming pool and lots of loud people, look elsewhere as this site offers none of this!
I rest my case!
By the way, I am not on commission but I do enjoy my weekends in a clean, safe and scenic area!
I'm booked for May half-Term. Really freondly admins too ( Jane/Mrs.Widows). When are you going ?
I have asked for a pitch near the playground, but not sure how else to be specific.
Do share pics, if you can.
Thanks, owe you one for a good recommendation.
ps. Oakdene was loud and had allt that stuff you mentioned on your last line. Hated it. Especially when we cut short our Stay in Hollands Wood, ie packed up, drove down to Oakdene and pitched up again. Give me the nature and live animals any day of the week, compared to the indoor pool and the party animals !
We are there most weekends apart from Whitsun Week and the August Week. Let me know your e-mail address at yogobear474 at aol.com and I shall send you some piccies. This is one of our junk e-mail address's so any other e-mail will be deleted!
One thing that we have found is that the kids can point out the stars as the sky is clear and no light pollution!
You will find Graham (the owner) and Jane (his daughter), and all his family very good hosts. Lets hope that the weather is as kind!

Phil, We saw, we went, we enjoyed, we're going back next year. Infact we have a newbie with us, and they liked it so much, they'll take up camping too.
Thanks for the recommendation. Any other suggestions for similar sites.
I am glad you liked it! I think that this site is one of the little gems that are not "in your face" and a genuine family site"
I know a good site in North Wales, well the site is average, but the beach is 50 metres from your front door ! Four miles of beach with next to no people, fantastic!!!!!
It is called Abererch Sands (I think that is how you spell it!!) , about 10 miles from Porthmadog. Thay have a web site and a small amount of reviews on this site!
