Can anyone tell me if dogs are allowed on beaches in North Devon in August.

Try their Tourist info website. That is where I got my info re beaches in Pembrokeshire. It lists which stretches of beaches are open to dogs and what times of the year.

 We have a chocolate Lab and have caravaned in North Devon, the only beach we found that was dog friendly all year round is Braunton Burrows - Saunton Sands about 10 miles from Barnstaple.There is a charge of £1-50 but it is well worth it you can stay as long as you like up till 10pm.Car park is virtually on the beach with views over Saunton sands.
