Yes was there last year, nice site, very well kept, in a lovely part of the lakes and only 200mtr from the village were there are all the shops and pub's ect that you will need.
have stayed there since a child, overall a great site and great village. but beware we stayed there last summer and i was extremely busy particularily at weekends so booking is essential. also DO NOT pitch on the far side of the field as the crows in the trees above make a hell of a noise from 7pm onwards, they do go to sleep at bout ten but wake at bout 6am-lol. ooh and the road by the sight is rather noisy with tractors and bikes all day! gosh after all that i havent sold the place well! we love hawkshead and go very often but after last year will prob hire a static or pitch near the river if camping, as other areas get really noisy! the site has good clean facilities but showers are 20p but are fab the water pressure is phenom!
