HI lilee & rabb uk
Ive never stayed at Ocean Edge as I live nearby.I cant comment on showers etc.
Seacat no longer operates from Heysham.
As for sea being a rarity, the tide comes in twice a day and can be seen for several hours each time. the sand is not the best but no more dangerous than a lot of beaches, but the Morecambe Bay does have quick sands which have to be treat with respect. The beach is accesible from the touring site, but more easily from where the statics are.
The touring site is in a lovely position overlooking the bay and yes you can also see the Power station
