Hi

Has anyone ever stayed at the Ocean Edge Leisure Park, Nr Morecombe?  I've looked at their webpage and it looks good but would love to get reviews first.

This site is part of the South Lakeland Caravans group and uk camp site only lists one their other ones.

Hope someone can help

Thanks

I've just gone back and looked through the reviews again and found it!  I looked at that many earlier and made notes that my head must be spinning.

Thanks!

Hi Lilee, to be honest from what I've read, don't think it would be on my list of sites to visit soon

Hi, we stayed here too, and found it expensive, run down, the hot water in the showers was intermittent and as for 'ocean edge' if you see the sea its a rarity the 'beach' is only accessed by climbing over tons of building rubble and the sand is actually mud flats and VERY DANGEROUS...the view is dominated by a nuclear power station and at 10pm every night the seacat comes into heysham port (quite close) sounding like a formula one car and wakes the kids up...I think i've covered most things....just DON't DO IT....

HI lilee & rabb uk

Ive never stayed at Ocean Edge as I live nearby.I cant comment on showers etc.

Seacat no longer operates from Heysham.

As for sea being a rarity, the tide comes in twice a day and can be seen for several hours each time. the sand is not the best but no more dangerous than a lot of beaches, but the Morecambe Bay does have quick sands which have to be treat with respect. The beach is accesible from the touring site, but more easily from where the statics are.

The touring site is in a lovely position overlooking the bay and yes you can also see the Power station
