We usually goto a posh hotel up north for our anniversay but as this year is our tenth we decided to do something different ( are we mad ??) anyway were after a quiet site that has really great view ,good walks and places to bike ,we idealy like mountainous areas or lakes rather than coastal sites ,and most importantly KID FREE!!!! if were having a break from our kids i dont want someone elses using my tent to play walley !
Edited to add [ probably going to have to compromise on the 'kid free' bit if it is a really quiet site
Any reccomendations ? cheers !

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
If you are definitely looking for 'oop north, can't help I'm afraid. But if you're willing to travel I can whole heartedly recommend The Old Oaks in Glastonbury - brilliant site - excellent facilities, really quiet and peaceful and lots and lots to do in the area. It a 5 star campsite if ever there was one (trouble is it spoils you for going anywhere else).
How far do you want to go? There is a good site just noth or York called "The Willow Park" I think it may be just for van though you will have to check and the other I know of is at Hebden Bridge if you are interested the Hebden Bridge one is on the reviews here I think.
Hi Thanks for the ideas ,no im not after going 'oop north ' just said thats what we usually do ,Actually facy cumbria or somewhere equally peaceful and tranquil

I dont know if any of these are reviewed on here but they are all adults only in Cumbria. Dont know if they take tents though as we stayed at The Ashes during our FC days and earmarked the others but havnt got round to using them.
Hi Carol ,the ashes looked lovely but caravans only
After somewhere really out of the way if poss ,searched all voer the net and cant seem to find any where ,suppose I might have to compromise on the 'Kid free 'bit so long as its a quiet site !
