Hello alannah. I am not a fisher person, but, we go to Hoddom Castle Nr Annan, just over the border of scotland, there is the river Annan and there are always fishermen on it, you can get a pass from reception. The site is very nice clean with fantastic showers, golf course, Annan is 4 miles away nice small town, pub on site. We are going this weekend and looking forward to it.
I dont know where you live, but good luck in your search
Sycamore lakes is fantastic, it is based in burly marsh which is the out skirts of skegness. Skegness is about 10 minutes drive or a nice bike ride away if you like biking. The site it's self has excellant facilities always clean, electric hook up and charges the same price all year round which i think is fab.
There is a little licensed cafe/restaurant that does steak nights etc during main season and i know for a fact they make a lovely sunday cavery.
There is at least 3 lakes possiably more which fish very well. Stocked with suff such as carp, trout etc.
If you put it into search engine theyhave a web site and will send a leaflet upon request.
..."Little Lakeland at Wortwell nr. Harleston in Norfolk has a pretty water (a small, mature gravel pit) at it's centre, which is stocked with Carp to 25lbs.+ some nice Tench and Perch and a few large Roach. The lake is free to fish, for those staying on the campsite.
Very nearby are the Weybread Pits, the largest of which is 100 acres plus, the pits have Carp over 30lbs, some very big Tench and huge Bream...
There are many other waters within a short distance (Broome, Earsham & Ditchingham pits) all fishable on a day ticket and of course some beautiful stretches of the River Waveney, just across the fields from the site, with the possibility of a large Chub, Perch or even Roach...
