Read the reviews - sounds swell, but was wondering what really is the place like? Does it attract the get-bladdered-all-night family gang types (don't get me wrong, I really like my wine and beer!), or is more centre-parcs esque (middle-class butlins IMHO!)....there appear lots of facilities and I wonder whether it might be a nice place for a less warm weekend.
Love to hear your thoughts....

We stayed there.......Ok, but wouldn't go again. We're a couple who like each other's company and it's a bit commercial for us. BUT...lots of people seem to like it. Depends what you want.....action, entertainment, a busy site? Lots of facilities? And crammed together. One man's meat etc....
We went very early in the season a couple of years ago. We loved it !! It was pretty quiet but the other campers/vanners that were there were just your ordinary average family types just like the majority of campers. There are plenty of facilities but none of them are "in-your-face" like a Butlins camp. The pool is relatively small and nothing like a Butlins/Haven or any other "chain". Maybe it was just the time of year we went but we are definitely planning on going back again, hopefully in the next couple of months.
We found it to be a bit fuddy duddy but then again we were in a t/t at the time,Caravanners seemed to keep to themselves or hide behind their lace curtains and doilies, warden spent his time telling of children for trying to enjoy themselves??
Have been going to this site since I was a child with my parents, and more recently with my own family. Agree with the post about it becoming commercialised. Is still a lovely site, very neat and tidy, but a bit too busy for us now. We have never had any problems with noise, in fact we were told off by the warden for having a crackly BBQ ! We had finished all the cooking and as it was a lovely evening, we sat out and kept the BBQ going for a bit of extra warmth. We put a piece of wood on the BBQ and it crackled a bit. Almost immediately the Warden appeared from nowhere and told us to extinguish the BBQ as it was crackling too loudly.
I had to laugh about that one RYLIKI.......I believe it was me that told you about the BBQ and the crackling !!
Beleive it or not, yes, the cracking was noisy (I recall it was after midnight and I could hear it from over 80 metres away - noise travels on a quiet night), but the real point about it is that although we allow BBQs, for Health & Safety reasons we cannot allow "camp fires". Don't blame me for this "Health & Safety" culture, but on our Insurance Company that stipulate this.
I didn't want to go into the details on that particular night, but the crackling got the blame!
All the best,
