hiya bazza we used to go to rawcliffe site but stopped going when it became adults only - got 2 kids. really handy for york though short walk from paark and ride clubhouse/bar/beergarden on site also restaurant was always immaculate. shame they brought new rules in as we would still be going. not far from large 24 hr tesco / retail park cinema etc.

also nice sites in alaster malbis york chestnut farm and poplar farm. lovely down by river -river bus into york save getting stuck in city traffic. watch times back! lovely pub 2 mins away too.

Cawood Park 01757 268450 between York and Selby has a fishing lake, small indoor pool and a friendly clubhouse with entertainment on at weekends. .About 1 hour drive from coast ( Scarborough, Bridlington) about 20 mins to York (use park and ride as parking in York is bad) more details on UKcampsite.co.uk listing easy to get to from A1
