Hiya, I was wondering if anyone had been here and if it was suitable for a 20something couple looking for a break for 3 nights. Is there much to do there?

Hi- depends on you what you like on shell, you can have natural great sceanery in a quiet spot, or be close to the rather basic facilities, check out their web site, but would not advise a stay in main weeks. I think its great . see my pics.

We stayed on Shell Island once and hated it, but it was a BH. The theory was great. Lovely island, camping wild etc but the reality was overcrowding and totally overstretched facilities. Maybe the reality is better during non peak times as kiev says.
We loved it too. They have a bar on the island which has disco and live entertainment on certain nights. Its worth a try and if you don't like it ... don't go again! People seem to either hate or love the place so you'll have to make your own mind up!
i stayed there on a school tripwhen i was younger and loved it. I remember the facilties being quite good and the snack bar was great. There was a nice beach bit as well. We were not allowed in the bar!

Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
