Does anyone know of any campsites in Herefordshire, near(ish) to Leominster which are really cheap and basic?

I don't need showers, toilets, electric or anything really, maybe a tap..

I want to take my dog and have a fire, and go on friday,, just some space in a field would be ideal.

Anyone got any ideas?  :o))

Sian,

It's not actually that near to Leominster, but the Hollybush Inn site near Hay on Wye is in the right general area http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=hollybush&by=sitename. The place only gets full when the Hay Festival is on. There is a large sloping field that runs down to the river, and the views are incredible.

There are showers and toilets, but you won't be near them in the field you'll be staying in.

Good luck

Hoarwithy - there's a camp-site right on the banks of the Wye - very basic - has portaloos, water, fire-pits, and that's about it.  http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=hoarwithy&by=town I've not camped there yet, but put canoes on and off the river via the site!  Might overnight there over half term.
