Hi guys,

Like you I was trying to get a site at Keilder 3 weekends ago I called the one at Keilder village but they wre fully booked for a star gazers meet so tried the one The Caravan Club site at Falstone (Leiplish) the warden there stated that they were not accepting tenst at that time because the ground wasn't ready!?!?!

To answer your question although I haven't stayed at either site I have driven to have a nosey as they are only an hour form my home and both have their charms. Kielder village site for it's proximity to the pub and local shop - Leiplish for the Restaurant, bar and play facilities.

Both sites are featured in the camsite search facility.

Happy hunting

I've stayed at both sites at Kielder.

As well as the CC site at Leiplish there is also a separate tent site here, not sure who runs it but it may be connected to the Rievers bunk house

Both campsites are nice but I'd say there is slightly more to do at Leiplish.

There also seems to be a midge problem at certain times of the year. We went in September and had no problems.

Have alook at these posts
