Hi Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions: we are looking for a quiet campsite (not a huge holiday park) in Cornwall, with good loos / showers, and within 10 / 15 minute walk of a village or town so that I can have a break from the cooking and go to the pub!
Thanks

Gwithian Farm was fantastic could not recommend it enough just look at other reviews to find out about pizza van and the curry man!! Good pub just over the road and the beach was within walking distance of the site.

Hi Jayne
Im off to gwithian on sunday night cant wait.Is it your first time there?Do you have dogs?
Regards Strongbow
Lucky you I've got to wait until the 18th June. No we haven't been there before, intially it was our 2nd choice I must admit, but I'm really looking forward to it now. It's the first time we've camped and our 1st time with EHU so a lot of firsts - but I can't wait to get away I'm getting very itchy feet.
No we don't have dogs, I love them but as hubbie and I work full time we didn't feel it would be fair to leave a dog on its own all day so we have 2 cats instead, who I wouldn't swop for the world now we have them!!

Have a good time Jayne, I've been going to that part for near on 50 years (having had an auntie in Hayle) and dont consider having had my summer holidays until I have been there. Gwithian beach is great, life guards, rock pools and sand dunes. And being that far down the coast it's easy to get from the north coast to the south, the long term saying down there is , if the weather is no good one one coast go to the other.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
