arrived here for a 3 day trip last friday with our vango colarado 600, only to see it ruined by the wind. the site people put us on the worst spot possible for a dome tent in very windy weather, and yet the touring caravans had the best of the shelter!?! we were on the site about an hour in total, and were told the money we paid for the three day trip couldn't be refunded, so all in all its cost us £15, plus £175 worth of kit to visit this pathetic run-down dirty(toilet blocks that is) site. thanks a bunch blue dolphin, tenters avoid this one.

too right! had no no choice but to go there though as we were spreading some ashes nearby and unfortunatley could get any where else with the tent. ended up on reighton sands site in a static caravan which was realy nice, and a much better site.
The best site nearby is Flower of May,i have stayed at both Blue Dolphin and Reighton Sands camping at both are of poor quality but i had heard that reighton sands had improved quite a bit but still bad for camping due to the winds.
My sister in law went to Blue Dolphin for 5 days last year well in fact she stayed for 5 hours and left.
Cheers
steve

I really feel for you and understand your anger at your treatment at the Blue Dolphin. I can only repeat that it pays to take notice of the reviews on UKCS regarding this site. Glad you managed to get fixed up elsewhere.
blue Dolphin Ha never again toilet block stunk pitches were crap, like you nsaid best pitches were for the caravans, staff not the best in Communication Skills Ha seems as they don't like people in tents. hope your next trip is better one
