 We stayed at three cliffs bay (see cc search) which overlooks a beautiful beach and the only way down to it is a steep climb, now I'm not suggesting that you camp here though they do have  lot of space for tents  they also take caravans.  I will forgive the caravan comment, camping is not for me but I understand people who like to 'rough it' lol no offence meant, .....anyway back to three cliffs bay, when we were there we saw two or three lots of people rough camping around the bay in the grassy dunes by the beach, no one seemed to move them on and there were a few people in the day time having open fires on the beach.
