We are intending on travelling down to either Cornwall or Devon from Northumberland in August and are looking for some help in selecting a site.

We would prefer a site that has a swimming pool and close to a beach. Any help would be gratefully received.

We are currently considering Cofton Country Park near Dawlish.

Just a note to say, the beach is NOT within walking distance of Cofton Country, the nearest to the beach at Dawlish is Peppermint Park.

I must also add that we have just been to Whitehill Country Park in Paignton. Not walking distance to beach but a short drive and a superb park- best one we have been to yet.

Beachside in Hayle just by St Ives. Spent 2 weeks there end of last May. Nice clean with outdoor pool small bar with some entertainment and by the best beach ive been to in ages. Our son, 6 at the time, keeps asking to go back and we will!!
