Hiya All,

I was having a wander round a large site last week looking at the various tents that are about and it got me wondering.

Just what is the BIGGEST tent available (without going to a marque)

Can anyone answer this little question??

Best regards

Mr Mayhem

Good question, I suppose ignoring the 'rally' type tents then the 16 berthers are quite large ie the Sunncamp Marathon.

I`m not sure if it`s the largest, but I love the name of the Sunncamp Manta. And it pitches out at almost 11m x 11m.

I had the Sunncamp Manta for all of one trip.  It was a great tent and remarkably easy to pitch for its size.  The only problem was finding somewhere to pitch it.  Most sites wanted to charge for 4 pitches to put it on there because it stretched over 1 pitch in both directions so the only comfortable way was to get 4 pitches giving about 20m x 20m space.  I also had the Sunncamp Marathon last season which was also huge.  That took a lot longer to pitch that the Manta and could just about fit on 1 big pitch.
