I need help!!!   I am after a site in the Southern Lakes for about 5 families (4 in each - 2 adults/2kids).  We are not a rowdy bunch but like a drink and a laugh (we're always quiet after 11pm).  We don't need any entertainment/shops on site but need nice showers and toilets with hopefully a couple of walks nearby. 

I have checked the campsite search but have gone googly-eyed as there are so many to look at.  Any help very much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.  After all that we've decided to go a bit further up in the Lakes and go to Castlerigg Hall in Keswick as it looks gorgeous.

For future reference the National Trust Langdale Campsite is good. Reasonable facilities, walking distance to a couple of pubs.

They have a field which they use for groups.

When you say Castlerigg don't like groups, do you think we'll get on then because I don't want to drive up all that way if they're going to turn us away (we're not a noisy bunch!!)
