Just got back from a nice little site near Helston. Had a lovely time.
Traffic going down last Saturday was a nightmare and we weren't even towing - roadworks on the A30 meant it took us seven hours to do a four and a half hour journey. Came back via Plymouth and it was a really good journey - done in four and a half hours. Apparently the road works are being suspended for the summer holidays. but Plymouth might be an alternative anyway.
------------- No, really?!

Were off to treyloy on the 2nd aug for a week. Going to learn to surf and get some tips off the experts while the rip curl boardmasters are on. Not looking forward to the traveling though. Traveling down through the night to miss the traffic but treyloy doesnt have an area to park while waiting for a pitch so looks like it'll be a few hours waiting in a layby just outside newquay for us then.
hi we are going this sat, setting of about 6-30 go down on the a49 have a sleep on the 3rd service after the 7 bridge, get to the site (st ives bay ) at about 8am.cant wait love the way of life down there soooooooo laid back.
------------- cheshirecraig. MAN U we will never die.
Why dont you find a picnic area, have a cuppa,we take a small portable cooker and do brekkie,or park up in town, find a cafe, better than sitting in layby.
If you go on your search bar at top of the page and type in picnic sites it newquey,it comes up with a list of sites, and also there are plenty of roadsigns to tell you where the picnic areas are.Hope this of some help
