can anyone please give me an update on the roads / roadworks from yorkshire to cornwall. i,ll be traveling on m1  m42  m5 a30 to hayle on 2 june (sunday)

i,ve heard of roadworks on a30 bodmin area. are these worse on a sunday or weekday.

I'm afraid the roadworkd on the A30 around the Bodmin area can be pretty horific at times. Saturdays are usually the worsed day. Also the time of day you will be hitting that area. Coming back from Plymouth to Falmouth at 5.30 pm last Saturday there was not much of a tailback at all but I believe early in the day it had been bad.

Friends went to Wales last weekend and they said the roadworks around Bristol were pretty bad, long tailbacks but that had been on Friday, don;t know what time.

OH and I will be venturing down West Penwith on the 2nd, OH brother's 60th big party. Need a passport to get down there, funny lot down P'nzance.

shouldnt be too much of a problem on a sunday tho it depends what time you intend on travelling. the roadworks at bristol arent that bad we didnt think, tho its 40mph for a couple of miles, again it depends what time you hit them.  The A30 roadworks arent that long either really, unless it was the heat that frazzled my brain when i drove through em 2 weeks ago!!
