We stayed at Old Down at Radstock when we went to Longleat. We thought it was very good.

We are looking to go to Longleat in July , 2 famillies in 2 tents. Read your campsite recommendations, don't know which to pick...we were looking at 7 Acres but someone said it was noisy? Anyone stayed there? Also there is one on the Longleat website called Lower grange Farm near Frome..looks like a B&b but they do tents too. Contacted the owner and it is one and the same place..anyone know anything about this one?

Forgot to mention, we like what some people might call, a basic site for camping.(and not too expensive!) Nice showers and toilets but thats all we need...no clubhouse, no hook up etc. We like to be able to use a bbq and a plus is if the site doesn't slope and the scenery's good!

I still stick with the site I mentioned above. flat pitches clean showers and toilets, small site shop and lovely owners. We wished we lived nearer so we could use it for weekends.
