Tyn Cornel near Bala. Lovely big dog field equipped with poo bags, scoops and bins. Walks straight from the site along the river bank. No restrictions on the number of dogs but cant remember if they were 50p or £1 per dog. Peter and Jean are dog lovers themselves and will give you a warm welcome.

We haven't found any problems with our Bassett on any site, but agree that many places tolerate your pooch rather than encourage it. We've never yet been bothered by other people's dogs. Pity I can't say the same about their children as well.... but that is another thread.

Heligan Woods near Mevagissey, Cornwall. Also got a nice doggy walk on a path beside the woods.
We don't take our pooch, but wouldn't worry about taking him with us there if we needed to. Only problem is, he's never been away with us and I'd be permanently worried about him woofing at all passers by and being annoying for other campers. Frightened to give him a go tbh.
