as far as i can remember, they have just built a tesco in ilfracombe.  There's a somerfield in ilfracombe and a somerfield in braunton.

have a great time, what site are you staying on?

That's a great idea, but do not expect to be able to do it quickly on a Saturday, like we did when we visited the Barnstaple Tesco during our June caravan trip. It was murder getting there from Woolecombe, couldn't park when we got there and getting out was even worse.

Why not try shopping on-line and have it delivered to your campsite...now there's an idea!!

Mick - great idea about delivery.  We've done the Tesco Barnstaple thing aswell and that was when I thought about ordering it, but have never had the courage to actually do it.

The Spa type place in Woolacombe itself has quite a good few bits and there's also a smaller place in Mortehoe that has reasonable supplies and look out for the fish van - it may be visiting your campsite!

If there's a new Tesco in Ilfracombe YIPPEE!  No more 4 hour journey to Barnstaple!

Oops, Braunton not Barnstaple.  If you are passing through Braunton forget shopping and try Squiers on the main road - lovely fish and chips!

stayed at Warcombe farm last year fantastic site we went to lidl I think it was in barnstaple but it is a nightmare journey . We did one huge shop all the essentials (wine and beer mostly)  then used the londis in woolacombe.

The fish and chips in Mortehoe were lovely too and the cream teas in a little tea room there are still talked about now.

The fish van does call at the site and it does have a little shop

There's Brian Fords in Barnstaple ........ great bargains in there, on food items, some are almost give away prices .........

Yep avoid Barnstaple like the plague, it is a car park!!
