Well, we were planning on going to France in August, but having just been given a quote of over 600 pounds for the ferry have decided to stay in this country. Have used the search but feel a bit overwhelmed and in need of advice. Need decentpitches, close to a beach or with a pool, very clean toilet facilities, play area and safe environment for 3 children aged 4, 6 and 9 to explore. We're not bothered about club houses, pool rooms or even washing machines just somewhere that the kids will love (feeling guilty about depriving them of their holiday abroad!) Not really bothered where we go, have thought of Cornwall, or Wales maybe. We like visiting historic sites, having picnics etc, anything that doesn't cost too much. Just wondered if anyone has a real favourite site that would match our requirements. Thanks in anticipation!

Try us? were not too far from a beach, have a small play area outdoor for the children, located in wales various things to do in and around the area - you may even snatch a glimpse of the dolphines!

What about Tintagel in North Cornwall,There is i think 3 sites in Tintagel, but are lots in the surrounding areas, lovely beaches and there is King Arthurs castle you can have a climb up to,Tintagel itself is a lovely little place. We intend to climb up to tha castle on our visit this weekend,We are booked at a site in Cameford close to Port Issac, where doc martin the tv series his filmed, another nice place.Hope this helps a little. The site we are staying as riding stables and an animal corner,Margie
this one gets the thumbs up from me too. Although we are trying the c&cc site at kessingland, suffolk this time. It's only a short distance from the beach as well.

Thanks very much everyone for your replies. I think I would like to try all of them! I'm going to spend some time today looking through them and will hopefully have something booked by tonight. Thanks again.
