Hi looking for a reasonably priced site in cumbria with either outdoor or indoor pool.  Been to Wild Rose but was hoping to find somewhere a little bit cheaper. Going with seven children aged between 9 and 16 so need a certain amount of facilities so that they dont get to bored.  Also would like somewhere that is not too cramped.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't there a pool at the one at Grange-over-Sands? It's a caravan club site, but should be cheaper than the LD ones, as just over the official border.

You'll find it a lot cheaper on the outskirts of the national park, and probably a lot more going on... try taking the kids to the zoo at Dalton... great day out!

We were there on Monday and Tuesday nights of this week. We agree it has excellent facilities, the outdoor pool alone was well worth the money in the heat we had, phew it was scorching hot. It certainly kept our kids entertained and not once did we hear `I`m bored!`. We will definitely go back next year, or even this year if the weather is ok in September, as our August is more or less fully booked.
