Hello

We are looking for sites around N Lancs/S Cumbria/N Yorks border. We have VW campervans and want somewhere that isn't full of kids and entertainment (we can make that ourselves!)  Nothing too fussy and manicured....views and pubs nearby are top of the agenda ......any ideas?  A farm is preferable to a big holiday camp.

Also, does anyone know of sites in this area that allow you have small fires?

It's worth looking at joining the CC or C & CC.  They have thousands of quiet sites between them, CLs and CSs all over the country. They vary in price from around £4 to £10 per night.

There's a campsite in north yorkshire that say they always have space coz they have extra farm fields too. I've heard it's lovely and is by a river: Keld, Swaledale Phone: 01748 886274 or email: babrarukin at ukonline.co.uk
