Hi all,

I'm really wanting to find a nice pitch for me and family in Devon or Cornwall, ideally close to beach, nice view from pitch, swimming pool, and maybe some indoor facilites for children, all the places I've found so far are fully booked :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.


ideally 14 days starting from August 5th 2006.
Tent is about 15ft.

I know they had spaces at Tregarton and Heligan Woods recently.

Both Nr St Austell, look them up in the search. Not been to either but both recommended. One by a friend and we are off to Tregarton in 10 days!

Can you do without the swimming pool and indoors stuff?

If so try Mother Iveys Bay, not too far from padstow.

They have access to their own beach which is a 5 minute walk from the site.

Lots of statics and stuff but they open up a large field for tourers.

I know it's not everyones cup of tea but you could try the Devon Cliffs Haven site, plenty of entertainment and right next to the beach.

I did take a look at Devon Cliffs, but the reviews seemed pretty awful.

Wooda farm in Bude had vacancies a couple a weeks ago but on the overflow field.  No swimming pool but plenty of other activities.  We had the same difficulty as you so ended up booking here as the reviews were very positive.

what about River Dart Country Park at Ashburton, its lovely, nr Dartmoor and loads to do for kids and free outdoor pool and tennis courts. bar/restaurant...river and woodland walks.  I know its not on the beach but a short drive away would take you to Torquay/Teignmouth/Paignton and even Dartmouth.

No glitzy bar etc,..lovely and quiet but as engergetic as you want it to be
