Dear All,

New to camping with the family but did it quite a bit in my younger days. We get down to Studland regularly but I wanted to know if you can pitch tents actually on Studland Beach itself as it is National Trust land?

It's a great beach and the kids would love to do a night or two there - the tent is a 9 man mammoth so not exactly discreet but we could find some space away from the beach a bit im sure....any advice please?

I don't reckon so, never seen tents pitched there overnight.  But, there is a great site just down the road called Burnbake that a good friend of mine uses all the time.  It is very basic and in a foresty bit and meant to be great fun.

I've just looked on the NT's website and it does state that 'non-authorised' camping is not permitted on Trust's land, other than on the areas they use for summer camping. Here's a list of those ....
