Hi everyone!

On the recommendation of here, we took off to Mealsgate a few weeks ago. We stayed at the adult site recommended - the Larches, and it was lovely - can recommend it. It even has a wee private pool!

Fancy heading off again at the end of August and are looking for ideas... We live in the Scottish Borders (hard to tear ourselves away!), and we're really open as to where we go. Just would like somewhere with lots going on -little markets, festivals, pretty shops and pubs and a really good site (clean, with American motorhome dumpy point for the onboard sewage system!)

Any ideas...?

Hi Chevrolet, Dave here who reccommended the Larches to you (and tiggasmum )

Based purely on the great response from other ukcs members, we have 2 breaks booked in august.

Barnard castle camping and carravaning club site, Lartington Co Durham

and also Howgill lodge near Skipton

Sounds like you like the same kind of places we do, and both these sites are near to historical market towns.

Also one of our favourite ( local to us ) sites is Riverside caravan park at Bentham, lovely site.

Glad you enjoyed the Larches, it's a real treat when we can manage to get there.

 With regards......Dave
