If you're talking about the C & CC site there, two possible drawbacks are that it doen't have EHU, and won't accept caravans.

There are from memory - 3 sites in Beadnell that take a variety of things - Vans, tents , one without EHU and others with!

I'd steer clear of South Shields , but thats because im biased cos im from North Shields - heeheehee .

Actually - My mum used to stay in "The Haven" (Sandhaven) when she was a girl so its a long standing campsite with plenty to do and good a location too.
