I would be interested in the secret ones you are talking about if they are in Essex.
I am at the moment struggling to find anything in essex with just the basic facilitys such as shower, toilet, water and waste disposal. I just want to get my kids away for the weekend but we just like the basic sites as they are more in our price range at the moment. If anyone feels they would like to share one with me then I would be more than happy to recieve the top secret info and I would let the info self distruct after I have read it LOL So andy pandy, as I bend my ear closer to the screen.
Thanks
P.s Obviously I won't be taking offence if you all want to keep them quiet as I totally understand.
You don't say if you are a member of CC or CCC. There are some very good CLs around the Mistley, Bradfield, Ramsey area, not far from Dovercourt.

There are plenty of basic sites around if you're not too bothered about the facilities. I'm happy with water and a waste dump. It's always worth taking a drive around the rest of the area while you're there. It's surprising what you find for future reference.
I think we`ve found a gem of an adults only site. It`s not listed on here, we`re going for a week in September. I`m not telling you it`s name as someone might say something bad about it and put me off going. I`ve heard excellent reports of it elsewhere though.
One thing is for sure, if it is lovely I`ll happily share it with everyone on here.

Well I wouldnt say that its hidden but Riverside Caravan Park at Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale Yorkshire is by far my favorite, It has nothing but toilet and shower facilities and is 5 minute walk from village centre. Dont know if anyone else has been before but we love it.

hi could you please give me the name of this site or if you didnt want to advertise it email me a link to it if it has a webpage or email me the address and telephone number please cause this sounds just like what we are looking for as my husband is a big big fishing fan, i would be really grateful, thanks x
quick look at teh leaflet, and the best i can do is too give you the name: Hartland caravan and camping park, and the contact number: 01237 441242 & 441876. it doesn't have a website, but the people are friendly, and i am sure they will be pleased with the publicity. so give them a buzz!
