Can anybody recommend a good site between York, Leeds, Wetherby that would be ideal for camping ideally with a kids play area to keep our two monsters happy, aged 4 and 8?

I would keep away this weekend as itas going to be crammed in North Leeds for the above mentioned crappy concert!!!!hehehehe

no not for a concert, although if I could go without the kids or hubby I probably would!  We are hoping to go the following weekend weather permitting.

Why not try South Lea at York,we stayed at this site in march this year and it is really a lovely site

We're booked in at Naburn Lock, 4 miles SE of York on the weekend of 23/24th.

Never been but good reviews.

And if the weather's good, you'll see quite a spectacle as several hot air balloons take off together from the campsite itself!!

A few miles further north, but try Woodhouse Farm nr Ripon - separate play areas for younger & older kids. An excellent site

Dont know if its too far but Pately Bridge has a site called Riverside caravan park, lower wath, nice clean site and short walk to the park and village.

Would definitely try Skipsea Sands, excellent site with plenty for kids , just returned last week and will definitely go again.
