Hi can anybody recommend a good site in this area, I don't know which one to choose. we have a vango Diablo 600 and 2 boys aged 6 & 8. We'd like to go on the fossil walk but the site nearest the beach is fully booked for this weekend. Help!!!

Have you tried the campsite search facility as there are a few in Charmouth, it depends which type you are looking for although as you've already found, this weekend seems pretty popular!

Yes I have had a look, we don't really want an all singing and dancing place just somewhere with decent shower blocks, somewhere that the kids can ride their bikes and we can chill out. Just wondered wether anyone had any ideas?

Don't want it to be a disaster as it is OH first time camping with us!!!! Normally go with the girls and their kids in the school hols. Oh the joys of being a farmers wife!

Wood Farm is great then, but popular. Indoor pool, great loos etc. Or there's Monkton Wylde or the Charmouth C&CC site about a mile from Charmouth itself. Both have very high standards.

We are going to Charmouth this weekend and can't wait. Also going fossil hunting.

Yes it is a busy weekend for some reason, + looks like the weather is going to be gorgeous and sunny.

We are going to be staying at Manor Farm Holiday Park, just as you go into Charmouth on the right. Avoid Newlands, first place on left.

I can recommend Manor Farm or Seadown, both walking distance to beach.

Manor Farm has a bar & a swimming pool.

Hi Little ern, hope we find some great fossils and maybe see you at Manor.

Thanks for everything Custer.
