Does anyone know of a family camp site on the Isle of Wight which is happy to accommodate a group of 4 or 5 families without being overbearing with regard to noise. We like to chill with a glass of wine or beer of an evening to say midnight and we all know that chat and laughter can carry at nigh. Some sites seem to accept this as reasonalbe whilst others are very precious about noise with early curfews. We are looking for a good site with a reasonable approach to noise. Can anyone help?

I don't know of any particular sites, most have a curfew of 10 or 11 o'clock. I'm sure you can appreciate that 'most' families would not be happy with noise until midnight,

DJGJ

Look at  Roebeck, they are pretty accomodating of groups and sensible noise levels, there were many groups whilst we stayed partying till all hours but not too noisy.

Great little site but dont expect too much

Agree with Shielsy about noise theres enough noise going on during day from the car breakers at the front and back of the site for them to complain of the noise at night. Thursday night is a good night for making noise the speedway track nearby will drown out the noise of a 747
