I've been to Glen Nevis twice. The site is truly top notch. However, the pub/restaurant next to it is not. I've had burger and chips for £9. I've had burger with yorkshire pud , new spuds and gravy for £9. The gravy was disgustingly oversalted. I've decided never to go back and eat there as I think they are taking advantage of the holidaymakers.
The second night, I drove to the Pizza takeout place on the A830 - large Pepperoni for £8.
Have decided to go to this site for a few nights, after 2 nights at Fisherground in the Lakes starting this Friday, really looking forward to it .
By the way, for everyone's info , it was awarded AA Campsite of the year 20006 for Scotland !!
So really can't wait now !!!!!
Cheers

This is a fab site even in the rain, instead of going to the site restaurant venture up to The Ben Nevis Inn at Achintee which is down to the visitor centre then over the river and up the path a little as if you are going up Ben Nevis.
hi, thanks for that , how far away is the ben nevis inn from the site, is it easy walking distance ?
Cheers

Walk down to the Visitor Centre, cross the bridge and walk back up the river bank. Turn left up the footpath to the stile. Turn left to the pub. Reckon it's just over a mile. Your footwear should be flat soled and carry a torch after dark.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
