Hi, I am looking to find a touring site close to Blackpool town centre for the October half term week as we are taking our 11 year old grand daughter and our 13 year old niece away for a few days and we promised to take them to see the illuminations. We have a motor home and would prefer a site that is within walking distance of the promenade. I have rung Hampton Lane caravan site as we have stayed there before and that was really central, but it is fully booked for the dates we want and so just wondered if anyone could reccomend another site that is close to the town centre.

No there isnt im afraid- been trying to find one for ages!

Newton hall (?) near staining does have the number 2 bus to the town center going right past and it goes straight into town, as does the Haven one at marton.

If you have a motor home i saw loads parked up on the prom (apperently you can do it?!?) so you could think about that.... although not very practical with kids

Newton Hall touring section is closing on the 15th of November to make way for 29 static caravans, we have had a seasonal tourer on the site for ten years, another one bites the dust!
