Hi everyone

Booked for the CC Site " wirral country park" , for a long weekend and was thinking as anybody been fishing there,and is it possible from near the site

Yes there's a couple of small ponds less than 5 minutes walk & youre right on on the Dee so when the tides in you can fish off the beach

A better place for catching is Fort Perch Rock at low water,cast into the channel,or off the promenades at high water,getting into the colder weather now so Whiting & Codling should start to show. The Dee is very shallow close in so on the bigger tides you get backed up onto the rocks,if you walk out watch out for the speed of the rising tide.

there's also a fishery at Burton, about 15min drive away.

Recieved a letter yesterday saying they had to cancel my booking because of flooding on some of the pitches, Just managed to get in a CL site at Garstang. Will after try the site again next year
