Holy well bay ,400yrds walk to beach but not a great site
Trevornick graet site half mile to beach
My only advice would be use the car to surf.I usually get up early 6 .30ish and surf then if conditions are right,Most of the car parks are not manned then so you can get a bit of free parking!!!!!Holywell bay and crantock have national trust car parks which are free to members!!!Also there is a good car park above perranporth which is free in the morning if youre there before 8ish.
Perran sands has beach acces but never stayed there.
Watergate bay has good surf and lots of smaller sites near by
Have you got wavefinder????? if so use that and you will find some good spots!!!!
Depends what you want
Next time you go to Croyde try Damage Barton Nr wolly Its lovely!!!!!!
We always go to Tristram at Polzeath - the beach is really safe - lifeguards etc but it is busy.
The site is not cheap but you have direct access to the beach - you can see it from the site as you are on top on the cliff - you don't have to move. It is a lovely place if you are into the surfing lifestyle. We love it. The site isn't fantastic and is dear but you are paying for the view. They haven't got a website and their brochure doesn't really do it justice - you have to be there when it's warm and sunny and you will be really happy I am sure. Many reviews on here aren't fantastic about the site but if you like to surf as a family then this is the place. In Polzeath there's a fish and chip shop, surf gear shops, a costa coffee place, 2 pubs, a newsagents, spar and a couple of touristy places and there's cost cutter and that's about it, except for the pasty shop. Also they have lots of people on the walls and beach selling necklaces, temporary tattoos etc. It's pretty cool - we are going again next year - you can't book til March though!
We went to Newque holiday park, dont go. The pitches were small and close together, the park was very noisy near a main road and noisy campers late into the night. Check out the reviews page we have always found them very good.
