Hi normally we go to pentewan but this year we're looking for something new...as there are alot of experianced and well travelled folk here thought might get some honest points of view on where to go.

..looking for campsites which have : a beach, some sort of entertainment not fussed about kids entertainment, decent showers and erm friendly people would be a bonus lol after a poor holiday last year we're looking for a gud 'un.

We have family in Cornwall so we always end up down there at least a couple of times a year.  St ives Bay Holiday Park has decent facilities and is close to a sandy beach with lifeguards. Pitches are first come first served rather than reserved but we had an enjoyable week there this summer. We also tried Holywell bay near Newquay. A smaller area for tents with smaller pitches but again it is only a short walk from a good beach.

Devon! (im not being biased)

Cornwall - too busy, over-rated, over-priced, lost its charm.

We prefer Dorset or Scottish highlands to both of the above.

but if you are gonna do Devon - do north Devon.

We had a really good summer holiday this year 5 days in Somerset, 5 in Devon and 4 in Dorset, luckily it was when  the weather was scorching ...bliss. We thought about going to cornwall and chose a site but they were going to charge £6 per night for the dog, so we scrapped that idea, we might try it this year.
