I've put this on uk, because that's where most of us are from (Sorry Freebird), but in my opinion the two best views from sites are Tramore Beach, Rosbeg, Donegal and Wavecrest, Co.Kerry. Both Ireland, obviously I suppose! Anyone else got anything better? Not yet in the digital camara age!

I still love the view from Muasdale.
John O'Groats one has a good view too especially if you forgo electric and pitch next to the fence.
Ness Point, Stomness is really good too as you can sit and watch the ferries coming in and out too.

The view from the site at three cliffs bay Gower is beautiful it's even better from further up the cliff where some of the tents go but it's quite steep and you sacrifice a level pitch for stunning views.------------- **********

completely agree with you on both of the above places.
Scottish highlands are truely magical. We go out of midge season and we prefer scotland how it should be - cold and misty !!
