Hi Harold,
Masons Campsite at Appletreewick which is north of Skipton has 2 pubs within staggering distance (5minutes away!).
There are also fabulous walks along the river to Bolton Abbey and Linton Falls.
The next village along,Burnsall, has a nice pub and is around a 20min leisurely stroll.
Down side to it is I see you have a Motorhome,if you approach Appletreewick from the Bolton Abbey end on the B6160 there is a restricted bridge at Bolton Abbey priory which I think is 10ft,which may sound ok but it is a very narrow arch and I do not think you will get through without scraping the sides of the roof.We have a Motorhome with a 9'10" height restriction and I would not chance it.Unless someone else has been through that particular arched bridge and come through it unscathed,I would be interested to know?
However you can approach from the Grassington end on the B6160 and you should be fine.
It is all grass pitches but they have some EHU and the owner Helen shows you to your pitch and makes sure you are not crowded in.
Its a great site, basic facilities but a lovely area, you would love it.
Book early,it is always full!
Val

The Wild Boar Inn near Wincle has a site behind it but no EHU.
The Grouse and Claret at Rowsley if you like a posh pub.

Hi,
Are you a member of the CC as some of their CLs are next to pubs. Have a look on their website.

Hiya
You could just ask at any pub - doesn't do any harm.
In the middle of dartmoor is the Plume of Feathers - great - also try Brotherswater Inn in the Lakes and we have stayed at Masons Farm - pubs aren't on site but just down the road. We always try to stay at sites that are near pubs or pubs that have sites - there's one in Skipton - if I'd known that we probably wouldn't have gone to Appletreewick which was great! Anyway our van is 3metres 3cm tall and we have gone through that very arch at Bolton Abbey fine. I think it was the width that was more worrying!
