Hello, just wondering if anybody has been tenting at any sites near to Carsington Reservoir,Derbyshire as we are thinking of going end of March.There is a large group so any info regarding suitable site would be received with thanks, Steve.

We stayed at Carsington fields last October, it is a nice frendly site with good clean showers etc (see review) & 10 min walk to the lake.

Also Knockerdown Inn looked ok but more suited to caravanning as there is no Hook up, showers etc. only sinks & toilets but by way of compensation you are right next to the pub (hic) & lake. Don't know when the season starts at these two sites, you would have to ring them
