Not sure if this is a long shot but thought i'd ask anyway. I'm planning to go camping in August but need to book 2 tent pitches together. I've contacted a few campsites but thay can't guarantee i'll get 2 next to each other and it seems to be a case of 'turn up and see'. My question is...does anyone know of a campsite, preferably along the south coast, where i will be able to definately get 2 pitches together? I'm getting a bit fed up ringing up sites and getting nowhere so wondered if any of you guys knew of anywhere. My only 'must have' is that it has great facilities for kids, preferably with a pool (?).

We have never had any problems getting pitches together at Camping & Caravanning Club sites, over the Whitsun Bank Holiday we even had 8 families all pitched next to each other. Most sites will not guarantee that they will be able to alocate two pitches together but if you book early enough and speak to the wardens / managers they will usually do their best to keep "family groups" together.
We have booked with Park Resorts for Easter and also the summer and this year we are introducing some friends to camping. We have booked 2 pitches for both dates and they did not have a problem with the pitches being together. It is also shown on our booking confirmation.

Forest edge, St Lenods Dorset book two together as does Sandy balls. The Shrubbery caravan park in Lyme regis gives you priority if you stay for 14 nights.
We have been to many parks that say they will try their best and havn't been disapointed yet.
