We live in Scotland and would love to be able to wildcamp in Glencoe. The viewpoints are a no go and the actual campsites are just out of Glencoe. There is the option of the ski area carpark I think. Has anyone wilcamped at Glencoe or has any experience of the campsite in Glencoe?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Campsite in Glencote is fine, good loos and showers, beautiful views.
Walk down back down the driveway, cross the road and you are at the river, turn left and there is an outcrop of trees and underneath are the Very Best Bluebelles I have ever seen.
You will not go wrong at the campsite....as Lunnie has said....good loo's and fantistic views......enjoy ya sens....... ya lucky buggers....i will have to get up there again in the near future....it's been a while.....

There used to be a campsite called the Red Squirrell, on the old road, just down from the Clachaig Inn (sp) it isn't listed here, but when I used it (many moons ago) it was ideal for hikers, hill climbers etc. it was very basic (almost wild as only a tap and a chemi loo!) access was by a little track and it couldn't take caravans, but you camped right down near the river. Midges were bad, obviously, but only for a short while during the early evening. Don't know if it's still going though
We used to wildcamp down Glen Etive!!! not sure about the spelling but it runs off Glencoe. Lots of areas to camp next to your own crystal clear stream. This was many moons ago so I dont know if its still allowed. Last time I was there a lot of the land looked like it had been given over to sustainable woodland.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
